September Day Retreat – 20th September
As soon as you step on the jetty you will feel as though you are a million miles away and an instant sense of calm will descend. Surrounded by water and nature, we will spend our time together in a beautiful pagoda in the middle of a lake. A stunning space to take time out, to slow down, to breathe, to come together and practise yoga and be immersed in the soothing vibrations of sound healing.
Join Sarah ( Yoga instructor www.sarahgreenall.com) and I for a wonderful day retreat on Saturday 20th September 2025, 11.45-5pm, (although please arrive at 11.30am) at a stunning location in Crawley, less than an hour from London. Location details to be released on booking.
Meet your hosts
The September retreat will be Sarah and Reshma’s 11th event working together, having developed an excellent, united working relationship built on trust and shared belief.
Reshma Pankhania I have always felt a deep connection to energy and intuition. These gifts have been with me for as long as I can remember, quietly shaping the way I move through the world. It was during the stillness of the pandemic that I felt called to share my gifts in service to others. At the heart of my work is a belief in energetic alchemy. I create space for you to slow down, release what no longer serves and realign with your natural flow.
Sarah Greenall (www.sarahgreenall.com) has been practising yoga since 2002 and teaching since 2015. She says “Through my own personal practice, the many trainings I’ve undertaken and my years of teaching, I’ve come to deeply recognise the need to slow down — to pause, to rest and to return to stillness. In a world that moves quickly and clamours for our attention, I believe in creating spaces that offer a space to be, a space to breathe and a chance to reconnect. I believe taking time out for yourself isn’t a luxury, but an essential part of living.”

Your September Retreat Day: A Journey Through the Chakras
Throughout the day, we’ll gently guide you through the seven chakras—the body’s major energy centres—supporting you to shift from heaviness to lightness, from overwhelm to balance.
Our retreat weaves together mindful movement, sound, stillness and soulful connection to help you soften, open up, re-align and find balance, just as nature is doing at this time of year as we approach the Autumn Equinox.
Your day includes:
- Doors will open at 11.30am for an 11.45am start.
Welcome and Cacao Ceremony
- We will start with a welcome and cacao ceremony including intention setting – all designed to arrive, to help you feel grounded and centred, comfortable, safe and secure, setting the tone for the day.
Gentle Yoga – movement and breathwork
- This will be followed by a gentle chakra-themed yoga and breathwork session, working through the energetic centres of the self. Moving the body and breathing consciously and mindfully, grounding and gently opening up.
Nourishing Lunch
- Lovingly created, prepared and cooked for you by @sauceoflove chef Sarah Mooney, lunch will be wholesome and vegetarian and most importantly, absolutely delicious!
- On a retreat day, food is so much more than fuel – it can become part of our practice – eating mindfully, in community, no rush or distractions, allowing yourself to receive. Expect to feel nourished, cared for and looked after.
- It will feed not just your physical body but also your energetic body – grounding, energising, nourishing, sustaining, balancing, aligning.
Restorative Yoga
- After a morning of movement and a nourishing lunch, you’ll ease into a deeply restful restorative yoga practice, using bolsters and props to fully support the body you can slow down, let go, and be completely held.
- As we continue our journey through the chakras, this session offers you time to: digest not just your meal, but your experience so far; release tension held in body and mind; reconnect with your inner stillness; and gently restore your energy — no effort needed, just breath and stillness.
Yoga Nidra
- The practice will flow seamlessly into a guided Yoga Nidra (yogic sleep) — a deeply meditative, liminal space between waking and sleeping.
- It’s here that the upper chakras are most supported: insight, intuition, clarity and connection. You don’t need to do anything. Just lie back, breathe and receive. This is a practice of complete surrender and support — a true gift to your whole self.
Sound Bath
- From this stillness, we’ll move into an immersive sound bath — a meditative journey through vibration and frequency, allowing the sound to soothe your system, clear energetic blockages, and bring the chakras into gentle harmony.
- Nothing to do but lie down and be immersed in the sounds of crystal bowls, gongs and chimes. Their vibrations will help switch off your thinking mind and shift your brainwaves to an even deeper place of calm.
- Sound baths have been found to reduce stress and anxiety, improve sleep and enhance overall well-being.
Kirtan
- To gently awaken and return, we’ll gather in the spirit of togetherness for a joyful kirtan – call-and-response mantra singing (this is open to all, regardless of beliefs, no experience or singing ability needed). This is meditation with music, the yoga of sound. This is a space to connect, express and feel the power of shared voice and also free your own inner voice.
- As the heart and throat chakras open, we remember we’re not alone — we are part of something larger. This is connection. This is community.
- Click here to read more about kirtan.
Closing ceremony – tea & cake – we will finish by 5pm
- We’ll end the day as we began — together, with kindness, reflection and sweet grounding nourishment.
- Enjoy tea and homemade cake, connect with fellow retreaters and take a moment to honour your journey before heading home.
This retreat is for you if…
- You’re feeling tired, overwhelmed or feel emotionally stretched — and you’re craving deep rest, soulful connection and space to breathe.
- You want to feel nourished, looked after and gently brought back into balance.
- You give a lot and you’re ready to receive, putting yourself first.
- You’re curious about the chakras and how movement, breath, sound and stillness can support your energy, clarity and wellbeing.
- You long for a break from daily demands — a chance to pause, reset and reconnect with yourself in a beautiful space, just as nature is rebalancing at this time of year, as we approach the Autumn Equinox.
- You would love a nourishing lunch, tea and cake prepared by someone else (!) with love, care and attention.
- You value coming together in a community of like-minded people, in a welcoming, safe and inclusive atmosphere with experienced teachers you can trust.
